This workshop is open to rising high school junior & senior students interested in exploring fashion design as a career. This workshop allows students to explore a design process similar to how fashion design brands develop collections each season. Through this program, students will have the opportunity to engage with Jefferson Fashion Design faculty and staff in a studio setting, all while exploring collection development. Faculty will guide students as they develop collection concepts, research, mood boards, sketch, and design a capsule collection for their own brands.The Jefferson Fashion Merchandising and Management Summer Workshop will take place Wednesday, July 13 through Friday, July 15. This workshop is open to rising high school junior & senior students interested in exploring the business of fashion as a career. This workshop allows students to explore marketing and merchandising concepts in a consumer-driven market. Participants will have the opportunity to engage with Jefferson Fashion Merchandising and Management faculty and staff. Students will learn from leading industry experts in influencer marketing and fashion styling. Faculty will guide students through an immersive, career-focused curriculum that prepares students to contribute to aspects of the fashion value chain. Ranked in the top-20 fashion schools by Business of Fashion, the program emphasizes active and hands on learning applications.The Jefferson Textile Design Summer Workshop, centered in a makers’ community, will take place on Monday, July 11 through Friday, July 15. This workshop is aimed at high school students looking to explore a creative path for their college experience, with a purpose-driven curriculum that leads to an exciting profession in Textile Design. Students will participate in a variety of textile design disciplines that focus on color, texture, materiality, trend, and end-use.
