Master Class Series: Growing Field of Diagnostic Cytology

This session will discuss the importance of the role of cytotechnologists in health care, specifically in diagnostic pathology. We will demonstrate how cytotechnologists provide early detection of pre-cancerous conditions leading to timely management of patients, which includes early therapeutic options that often result in the cure or even prevention of the onset of cancer. We will describe the one and the two year options for both bachelor and master degree programs to be eligible for Cytotechnology certification and licensure. The job market is thriving and you will learn what professional opportunities await you in the field of cytotechnology.
